Actor launches fundraising campaign

Thomas Balou Martin has known the family audiobook for several years and is now involved as an ambassador, because he knows from his own experience how much a child can miss the voice of mom or dad. On January 30, the well-known actor, voice actor and audiobook speaker started a fundraising campaign under the motto: “Media professionals are committed to keeping the voice alive”. The campaign is scheduled for six months and other actors and filmmakers are already on board. The ambitious goal: 100,000 euros.

This donation is intended to ensure that the team can actively respond to the high number of requests from affected parents, that future accompanying research with a special focus on the effects on children and adolescents is realized and that the previously purely voluntary psycho-oncological experts are firmly anchored in the core team. On the scale in which Familienhörbuch gGmbH now operates, with 170 audiobooks a year, the social enterprise needs permanent employees and a secure framework structure.
