Do something good in memory of a deceased person. This is often also a last wish of the deceased, as well as a way for family and friends to deal with their loss. - Call for donations from the funeral home
In order to relieve the family and friends after a death, some funeral institutions offer to take over the organization of a call for donations in memory of a loved one. For this purpose, we ask for a direct contact of the funeral home with us at spenden@familienhoerbuch.de.
On request, we will be happy to send you the family audiobook donation box by post. It comes with information material to the family audiobook and can be set up at celebrations, bazaars, events, in a practice or an office for collecting cash. You can then transfer the cash directly to our donation account. This makes collecting donations even easier!

Does it cost me more to shop?
No. The value of the goods does not change for you – the donation is borne by the company concerned in addition to the purchase price. So you can also donate while shopping and do something good at the same time.
Painting for a good cause
A project participant who has recorded her own family audiobook is very fond of painting and had the idea to do so in Heidelberg's pedestrian zone. She built up her utensils and painted portraits and sold pictures of Heidelberg. There were flyers from the family audiobook and the donation box was also there. So 600€ came together for the family audiobook.
Fundraising campaign at the Egbert Gymnasium in Münsterschwarzach
Every school year, a donation campaign takes place on time for St. Martin am EGM, where everyone who wants to can donate one euro for a good cause.
Ladies Circle Germany collects for the family audiobook
Twelve women from Ladies Circle 99 County Bentheim have proposed the family audiobook as a national service project. We were awarded the contract and now donations have been collected diligently over two years.
Collect donations with lavender bags
Hannah (10 years), Linus (7 years), Melina (9 years) and Henri (6 years) collected homemade lavender bags for a sick friend of their parents.
NOTES:
For a single donation up to and including € 300.00, the simplified proof of donation applies. For your tax return, the proof of payment or the bank statement is sufficient. For cost reasons, we will not issue a single donation receipt for this purpose. From an annual donation amount of 300,01 € we will send you an annual donation certificate in January of the following year. For sending the donation receipt, please note your e-mail address for environmentally friendly shipping or your postal address in the remark field of the transfer.
No earmarking As a non-profit organization, we cannot accept donations that only benefit certain people or projects. Incoming donations flow into a joint funding pot in accordance with the principle of solidarity. This will ensure that all affected families are treated equally, regardless of their social or financial situation.

The Family Audiobook Movie
For over a year, volunteer filmmakers from Was Gute e.V. accompanied the family audiobook and produced a documentary. ‘Social engagement needs media presence to be effective’, says Marlene Hirschfeld of ‘Was Gute’, an association of volunteer creatives who support and present socially engaged projects with high-quality, short documentaries.
The family audiobook was selected as a social project and portrayed by the Was-Gutes team in a 24-minute documentary. In sensitive scenes, the documentary presents a participant but also survivors, conveys through interviews with an audio biographer and a sound designer the design framework and the recording situation in which participants can speak and influence their work.
