Our patroness
The voice remains
Elena Uhlig, actress, author and presenter, has been volunteering as a patron with a lot of heart and empathy for the concerns of the family audiobook since November 2024. Even mother of four underage children knows about the importance and impact of such an audio biography and is therefore also committed to our topics in her network.
“In 2021, a very good friend of mine died, he was terminally ill with cancer and had a son who was 13 years old at the time. I have often talked to him about whether he does not want to write letters or similar for his child, so that when he is no longer there, his son will have a memory of him. Unfortunately, we never implemented this plan. Today I still think about it a lot and maybe I should have supported him more. Unfortunately, I didn't know the family audiobook at the time.
As a mother of four, I naturally think about what happens when I get seriously ill and die? What do I leave to my children of my memories and thoughts? What can I give them when I'm gone?
I am very touched by the family audiobook, because it gives affected families the opportunity to give their children something that will accompany them on their further life path.
For a project participant
Elena Uhlig meets Thomas and his wife. He wrote a family audiobook for his children. In dialogue with the celebrities, it becomes clear how much the project moves everyone involved.
It is a gift for the future for several generations. Free of charge. It's authentic. Accompanied by experts.
The second part of the video also features an audio biographer talking about the recording days.
Founder Judith Grümmer:
‘When do you need an umbrella? Whenever it rains?
As a non-profit organization, we enjoy the protection of a patroness all year round. In the shallow breeze of a spring wind, when the sun burns in summer, when the days get shorter and fog comes up, in winter, as soon as Mrs. Holle shakes the beds. Elena is our patron saint who shares her light with us. It opens up even more doors to the hearts of people who want to share social responsibility and enable seriously ill parents to leave something to their loved ones.”
