The Macherinnen Award, awarded by a women's network, honors women and their outstanding achievements and successes. On 8 July, family audiobook founder Judith Grümmer received this award in the category ‘Social Impact’ at the Senftöpfchen Theater in Cologne.
The winners of the first Women Makers Award were selected by a jury consisting of leaders and opinion leaders from the regional economy, politics and urban society. In addition, the makers' network and the Alliance for Women in Leadership were represented in the jury. The readers of the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger and the Kölnische Rundschau as well as the listeners of Radio Köln were also called upon to vote in an online vote for their favorites in the respective categories and thus actively participate in the selection of the award winners.
