Implementation in the solidarity principle

At this time, Familienhörbuch gGmbH is financed exclusively by donations and subsidies. This means: Individuals, companies and foundations are jointly committed to ensuring that closeness, memories and comfort can be an integral part of our project families.

Our model follows a clear principle: Social co-responsibility, supported by people and institutions who bring the appropriate resources to make our work possible. Together. With each other. For each other.

Many project participants also see this approach as a kind of generational contract. They themselves proactively collect donations in the circle of friends and families for the mothers and fathers who hope for a project recording after them in order to be able to leave memories. You too can make a difference!

High standards

The family audiobook attaches great importance to quality. In addition to the trend-setting training series on audio biographer:in (cooperation with the Academy of Palliative Medicine Bonn), a continuous, accompanying training course for all team members is part of the fixed programme. Despite increasing demand, our large freelance pool (audio biography & sound design) allows the production of all audio gifts at a consistently high level and a timely implementation. The latter is an indispensable point, especially for those affected who live with a palliative diagnosis.

The fact that one's own life story is saved as a kind of backup, self-determinedly recorded and filled up with a lot of love for the little ones, sometimes enables a completely new way of coming into conversation in the family association. That's why we're especially happy when the sick parent introduces the recordings to their loved ones while they're still alive.
